Every year, McCaffrey’s Food Markets holds a community-giving day when five percent of that day’s net sales are donated to St. Mary Regional Cancer Center in Newtown, PA (from their PA Stores) and the American Cancer Society (from their NJ Stores). This year’s date is set for Wednesday, October 19, 2016.
With the addition of its two, newest Markets – Simply Fresh by McCaffrey’s in Doylestown and Blue Bell McCaffrey’s – they have added two more beneficiaries: Doylestown Health’s Cancer Institute and Abington-Jefferson Health’s Asplundh Cancer Pavilion. With four locations now in Pennsylvania and two locations in New Jersey, locally owned McCaffrey’s Food Markets believes that supporting the people and communities it serves is a central part of their value and mission.
Blue Bell, Tuesday, July 19, 2016 – – McCaffrey’s Food Markets is pleased to announce the opening of its newest Market on Friday, July 22, 2016 at 9:00 am in Blue Bell, PA. The Blue Bell location will be home to the 4th McCaffrey’s Food Market in Pennsylvania, and the 6th Market overall. The day will start with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8:30 am followed by special sales throughout the store, tastings and more.
A 50,000 square foot, state-of-the-art Food Market, the new McCaffrey’s will be staffed by food experts and offer what McCaffrey’s is famous for: exceptional produce, meat, seafood, cheese deli, bakery and floral, along with chef-inspired, gourmet prepared foods.
Some highlights of the store include: a beer garden with 100’s of craft beers, a beer & wine bar with 12 beers on tap and 8 wines by the glass, a crepe station, a gourmet sandwich station, hundreds of cheeses from around the globe, extensive grocery selection, custom cakes, a gourmet coffee bar, comfortable, intimate indoor and outdoor seating areas and hundreds of organic and exotic product offerings. Simply Fresh by McCaffrey’s, a new small-store concept from McCaffrey’s Food Markets, opened its first location late last week in Doylestown, Pa.
The 13,000-square-foot store, which occupies the site of a former hobby shop, features what the company calls a “best-of” selection of McCaffrey’s traditional store offerings including produce, meat, seafood, cheese, deli, bakery and floral departments, along with chef-crafted, gourmet prepared foods. Each full-service department is staffed with food experts — chefs, butchers, seafood and cheese mongers, bakers and baristas. Highlights of the store include a crepe station, hundreds of cheeses from around the globe, custom cakes, a gourmet coffee bar, a comfortable seating area and hundreds of organic and exotic product offerings. An on-site catering coordinator will also be available for customers’ entertaining needs.
The new store is located on State Street in bucolic downtown Doylestown, seat of wealthy Bucks County, Pa. Its neighbors include Acme Markets and Weis Market, each located less than a mile away in traditional shopping centers.

BLUE BELL, PA
Jim McCaffrey III, President of McCaffrey’s Food Markets, announced that he will open his newest store in late spring in Blue Bell, PA.
Located in the Center Square Plaza on Skippack Pike, the new Market is the sixth location for McCaffrey’s, a family-owned business that currently operates four, additional Markets in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. A fifth location is coming soon to Doylestown, PA.

In 2015, Jim McCaffrey III, President of McCaffrey’s Food Markets, announced a new location would open in the Doylestown community.
“Much to everyone’s dismay, our opening has been stalled by building issues,” said Mr. McCaffrey.
Regular building issues – from HVAC to roofing – have taken longer to complete than anticipated, especially considering the building has been unoccupied for some years. And, McCaffrey’s is trying to preserve the historical feel and architecture of the building for longtime residents. Read more…
Jim McCaffrey, President of McCaffrey’s Food Markets, announced that McCaffrey’s Markets is donating $100,000 to Abrams Hebrew Academy in Yardley, PA and $100,000 to St. Andrew’s Catholic School in Newtown, PA. These organizations will use the donated monies to award needs-based scholarships to eligible families.

Jim McCaffrey, President of McCaffrey’s Food Markets, donated $9,085 to The Guardians of the National Cemetery, specifically to provide wreaths for veterans’ graves as part of “Wreaths Across America.” The contribution came from 100% of the ticket sale proceeds from McCaffrey’s First Annual Specialty Food Showcase at the Yardley Market on November 8 and 9, 2014.
The Guardians of the National Cemetery is a local-based volunteer organization that exists in order to preserve and support the Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Bucks County on behalf of the veterans of the Armed Services of the USA. Read more…
