McCaffrey’s Food Markets Donates $9,085 To The Guardians Pf The National Cemetery

Jim McCaffrey, President of McCaffrey’s Food Markets, donated $9,085 to The Guardians of the National Cemetery, specifically to provide wreaths for veterans’ graves as part of “Wreaths Across America.” The contribution came from 100% of the ticket sale proceeds from McCaffrey’s First Annual Specialty Food Showcase at the Yardley Market on November 8 and 9, 2014.

The Guardians of the National Cemetery is a local-based volunteer organization that exists in order to preserve and support the Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Bucks County on behalf of the veterans of the Armed Services of the USA.

“We could not think of a more worthy cause around the holidays than honoring the men and women who served for us,” said Jim McCaffrey. “Contributing towards wreaths for their gravesites is a small token of our appreciation for their enormous contribution to our country.”

McCaffrey’s Specialty Food Showcase originated at their Princeton Market, which held its Fifth Annual Showcase, or “Tent Show,” on October 18 and 19, 2014. 100% of the ticket sale proceeds from that Showcase and a benefit cocktail party the evening before – a total of $12,045 – was donated to The Princeton Fire Department & Princeton First Aid & Rescue Squad.

“With great support from the communities in which we serve, in this case Yardley, PA and Princeton, NJ, we have been able to raise considerable funds for deserving charities,” said Jim.
