November is National Diabetes Month and a time when communities across the country bring attention to diabetes and pre-diabetes. According to the CDC, more than 1 in 3 adults may have pre-diabetes – and not know they have it. The good news is that by making small healthy lifestyle changes, it is possible to prevent type 2 diabetes and even reverse pre-diabetes. Join McCaffrey’s Registered Dietitian, Jill Kwasny, for an informative and free nutrition program: Eating Well to Prevent Diabetes. Jill will discuss risk factors for diabetes and address questions about diet, carbohydrates, and the glycemic index. As always, Jill will offer menu ideas, cooking techniques and share a delicious recipe to sample.
