Hand-Picked Tips

Roses need to be rehydrated as soon as they arrive at your house from our floral department. Cut the bottom of their stems with a pair of pruners, not scissors, as they tend to pinch the stem. The shorter the stem, the less time it takes for the water to reach the flower. Shorter stems will add longevity to your flowers. Place roses in a vase filled with room temperature water. Cold water prevents absorption in freshly cut flowers. Add plant food, and do not keep in a warm area. Repeat this process every 5 days.
