Alterra Property Group and McCaffrey’s Food Market Sign Lease Agreement
Gladwyne, PA – 11/23/2021 – Alterra Property Group and McCaffrey’s Food Markets today signed a long-term lease for a new McCaffrey’s Food Market at the intersection of Conshohocken State Road and Youngs Ford Road in the Village of Gladwyne. The new store, located at 1025 Youngs Ford Road, will be the eighth market overall for the locally owned food market and is slated to open in late 2022.
Alterra engaged McCaffrey’s Food Markets to open a new location at the site after hearing the community’s demand for a first-class food market in Gladwyne and receiving strong opposition to a denser residential/ mixed use development on the old Acme property.
“We are pleased to be able to bring McCaffrey’s Market to the Village of Gladwyne, and with that resolve the zoning issues that had become so divisive. We will now work with McCaffrey’s to get their store open later in 2022” said Leo Addimando, managing partner at Alterra Property Group.
A state-of-the-art Food Market, the new McCaffrey’s will be staffed by food experts and offer what McCaffrey’s is famous for: exceptional produce, meat, seafood, cheese, deli, bakery and floral, along with chef-inspired, gourmet prepared foods. Some highlights of the store include: a gourmet sandwich station, hundreds of cheeses from around the globe, extensive grocery selection, custom cakes, a gourmet coffee bar, comfortable, intimate indoor seating area and hundreds of organic and exotic product offerings.
